He's Home!!

Yes, he finally made it home! Thursday was an exciting morning as I anticipated seeing my brother again after two years. His welcoming party included my dad and 9 girls. My older brother and his family couldn't be here because they live in Kansas and my brothers-in-law had school and work. So, accompanying my dad was my mom, my sisters, five nieces, and me. Welcome home Kenny...be surrounded by girls. :)

As a downer to all of the anticipation, Kenny was sick when he got home. He started not feeling well the last few days in Uganda and traveled home that way. But, it was great having him home.

In an attempt to help him feel more at home, my mom bought a Uganda and Ethiopia flag for our flagpole. The wind was blowing just right so that they were out as he pulled up. It looked pretty awesome. :)

On Friday after work, I headed back up to Kaysville. On the way I took a little detour to the airport to pick up my older brother and nephew. Kenny didn't know they were coming, and it was lots of fun being able to help with that surprise. It was great to have all five kids together this weekend.

He gave a great talk today in Sacrament meeting and tonight I got to hear him and two other cousins report their missions in our extended family night. In addition to Kenny in Uganda and Ethiopia, there was Clark who served in Ukraine, and Nathan who served in Colombia. It was fun to hear how different, yet similar their missions were.
